Gnarly tree in the Pinchot National Forest, Washington State USA.. I recently vacationed in this national forest ,close to Mt. St. Helens. My friends have 155 acres 'within' the forest. Purchased in 1952 by the family before the 'national forest" designation the estate is completely surrounded by virgin timber. This is an old snag that rested near our campsite.
